It Lasted Over 1 Hour – Here’s All You Need to Know and Bitcoin’s…

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed key geopolitical issues, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, in a phone call that lasted more than an hour. The conversation comes as Washington seeks Moscow’s approval for a possible ceasefire.

The Kremlin confirmed that the two leaders discussed the Ukraine crisis and agreed to maintain communication going forward, according to Russian state news agency TASS. One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the planned prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia, with both sides agreeing to swap 175 prisoners each.

Putin and Trump also discussed Middle East issues and global energy concerns outside of Ukraine. As part of efforts to reduce tensions, Russia and the U.S. will establish an expert group to facilitate a resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Russia has pledged to transfer 23 seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers to Kiev as a humanitarian gesture. But the Kremlin said there were still difficulties in maintaining control over a possible ceasefire. Putin said the mobilization and arming of Ukrainian forces must be halted for the ceasefire to be effective.

During these talks, Putin agreed to a 30-day suspension of attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which could provide temporary relief to the war-torn region, according to media reports.

The talks also touched on sports diplomacy, with Trump reportedly supporting Putin’s proposal to host an ice hockey match between Russian and American players in the United States.

However, the Bitcoin price remains under pressure after talks where no definitive ceasefire has been confirmed. It was anticipated that BTC would respond positively in the event of a ceasefire or a peace agreement.
